    Vox announced a media partnership with the Institute for the Study of Modern Authoritarianism for their inaugural conference: “Liberalism for the 21st Century.”

    Today, Vox announced a media partnership with the Institute for the Study of Modern Authoritarianism (ISMA) for their inaugural conference “Liberalism for the 21st Century.” This gathering of global thinkers in Washington, DC offers a cross-party, forward-looking vision in defense of the core principles of liberal democracy.

    Vox is partnering in support of the panel “Liberalism Beyond the West.” Senior correspondent of Vox Jacques Beauchamp Mediate discussions with Iranian dissidents and writers Azhar Nafisi, Türkiye expert Henry Barkeyand journalists and historians Anne Applebaum. The panel will present perspectives from beyond the West, making the case for liberalism’s universal value and essential role in preserving the conditions of human freedom and global development.
